My friend had twins 2 weeks ago, this is one of them. His name is Zack and he’s already a natural in front of the camera. How insanely cute is he?

One of my most favorite faces..

Boo! Happy Halloween everyone. We got to go trick-or-treating with our little dinosaur. Not exactly sure how much of this holiday he actually comprehended. At first he looked a bit skeptical. I bet he’s thinking ‘why am I in this crazy outfit and why am I holding an empty bucket’…

After getting some candy he would want to remove the candy from the bucket and hold the candy in his hand.

Then put it directly in his mouth, of course.

Stopping to take stock of his loot.

By this time he was getting a hang of it. Knock knock!!

“I’ll take two, thank you.”

He was even waving goodbye to the people after he got his candy.

He seems to really be enjoying himself now, especially since his daddy gave him a lift to the next house. (The cuteness of this photo is overwhelming.)

He may have started off slow, but he really came into his own. Strutting his dinosaur stuff!

Seeing this thing didn’t even scare him…Yikes!

This is more my speed..

More pictures from the summer that I am just now finding the time to post. It was during this time (July) that he was learning how to make the “blow” shape with his little lips. Super cute.

Look at how much fun he had with actual bubbles!

An afternoon with bubbles and balloons. Endless entertainment.

September 26, 2009
I’m so late on posting pictures, these adorable shots are from July 4th. Only 2 months behind!
When he was first placed in my uncle’s corvette he looked a bit…scared? Or does he look completely at ease?

He sure looks confident here…

All that sportscar stuff can be a bit much for a little guy. He needed a little time on a swing with grandpa. He loves grandpa.

July 26, 2009 – Happy Birthday Mom!

July 25, 2009
Is there anything cuter than the sound of a little baby laughing?

Or the site of a little baby giving his toy clown a big smooch?

July 24, 2009
Little Nicky relaxing poolside with his Aunt Patricia.

July 23, 2009
We started a tradition of having a family reunion every summer and this year was our 5th year! The reunion is with my father’s side of the family…and there are alot of us. Roughly about 50 people. It takes place at someone’s house, sometimes we all bring food, other times we have it catered. It’s alot of fun and something we all look forward to. Last year little Nicholas was just a few months old. This year he’s old enough to be running around, enjoying the event with the adults. Here’s when he decided to practice waving in planes…

July 21, 2009
Little Nicholas had a ball at our family reunion last weekend.

We had another little cutie pie at the reunion. She is absolutely precious in that hat!

Here’s her twin brother. Yes, I said twin. He really likes ice-cream.

June 30, 2009
He poses for me now, such a little cutie…

June 24, 2009 – Bag Baby
Can you see the delight on his face at the prospect of what he might uncover in my handbag?

He first found and played with my keys. By the way, at only 14 months he knows that the keys go in the door. He quickly tired of those keys and went back to the handbag for more discoveries. This time, he’s all business. His face looks much more determined here…

Tissues! Who knew they could be so interesting? One by one, he removed them from the packet. Carefully.

And scattered them on the floor.

He’s learned a very adorable little thing – how to wipe his face.

You just say “Nicky, clean your face” and he does it. Yes, the child is brilliant.

After cleaning his face (which was already clean) he set out to clean the floors (also already clean). With my little tissues.

He is quite serious about cleaning floors.

Seeming pleased with his work.

When is the last time you had this much fun cleaning your floors?

June 9, 2009
They sure do start young, already on the phone…

June 3, 2009
I’ll tell ya, the toys out now for kids are just adorable. I particularly liked this one, and so did he – although he wasn’t exactly playing with it as intended. Here he is at the toy. See how he seems to have pushed something down that shoot?

He was persistent in pushing them down the shoot. Theoretically, this is how it’s supposed to operate. See the red ball?

The balls are supposed to shoot UP out of the tube.

“Holy smokes! That one almost knocked me in the nose!”

Regardless of whether he was playing it correctly or not, he was having alot of fun. And really, isn’t that what it is all about? Fun. Fun while protecting a cute nose, of course.

May 6, 2009 – Baby In The Box

May 2, 2009
His first little tooth has finally broken through! You can just barely see it there…

And if that isn’t enough of a milestone, at about the same time, he’s started taking a few steps on his own. He’s been quite productive this past week!

He takes about 4-5 steps on his own, getting used to this new walking thing. And it usually ends with a fall.
But he takes it all in stride and gets right back up and tries it again. Atta boy!

April 4, 2009 – His Big Birthday!
It’s hard to believe the little guy turned one year old. Where did the time go?!

He had a ball at his party, particularly when it came time to eat his birthday cake. I think he was slightly in shock that he was given such a large piece and allowed to eat it all by himself. He started off quite gentle, a small bite here and there…

Then things started to get interesting…

Who can resist all that soft cream and yummy cake? I’m sure it tastes even better smeared all over his face. Utensils are overrated.

Soon, his initial shock turned into euphoria.

Surely all that sugary cake can make a baby very thirsty. Hey you, in the back. Bring me something to drink!

There is something so adorable about little babies with food all over their face. Just imagine if an adult looked like this after eating his birthday cake….

March 14, 2009 – Italian Bread Baby

My dad’s surprise 70th birthday party was alot of fun. Little Nicholas really enjoyed himself, particularly when it came time to eat.

He loves knawing on a piece of bread…the end piece.

This can keep him entertained for a very long time.

March 3, 2009
One toy he likes to play with is this little container that comes with pieces in various shapes and he has to put the pieces into the bucket thru the corresponding opening. Mainly, he just puts the pieces in his mouth.

But every once in awhile he puts the pieces into the bucket….after some contemplation, of course. Here he is plotting his strategy.

He clearly figures out that is it SO much easier to just dump the pieces into the large opening on the top, instead of all this shape-specific-opening nonsense.

It’s tiring being so smart.

February 24, 2009
One step at a time, he’s starting to walk with his toy walker.

If you ask me, it looks as if he’s been at this for awhile now. He looks like a pro! One handed!

February 20, 2009
The little cutie got his first haircut this past week. His mommy & daddy told me he was a good sport and didn’t cry at all. I got to see him over the weekend, I think his new “do” suits his adorable face…

February 10, 2009
10 months old and still no teeth. Still all gums. Still adorable. Thumbs up!

February 8, 2009 – Bronx Zoo
Saw some very interesting faces at the zoo on Sunday. This one is my favorite.

The sea lions were great to watch. This guy was very vocal.

And this face is just downright scary.

Back to something cute. Tiny faces and tired faces…
February 3, 2009 – Boy vs. Dog

Innocently enough, Nicholas was playing with all his toys, having a blast. He set his sites on a particular book he has and was playing with that when all of a sudden….the dog got involved. His dog, Teddy, decided he wanted to play with the book and started prying it from him. Naturally, there was a scuffle.

And the dog won.

Which naturally pissed the baby off.

But only for a short time, because these guys are buddies.

So Teddy made sure to kiss and make up. Eck!

Seems he needed a little break after the ruckus. Afterall, he’s just a little guy.

January 26, 2009 – Tiny Hands

January 12, 2009 – The Prince and the Pea

Nicholas is now 9 months old and doing great with the eating. No teeth yet, so he’s obviously still on the mushy stuff. A new little meal for him lately is baby frozen peas!

His mommy spilled out a few dozen baby peas on his high chair tray and he just went to town on them. It was adorable to watch his tiny little fingers try to pick up the tiny little peas. He managed to do a fantastic job. Sometimes, though, it required much concentration.

But he did it and then kept going back for more.

Very carefully picking them up one by one.

And with great dexterity, he would pop one in his mouth.

To savor his last little pea. Yummy.

December 27, 2008
On his very first Christmas he got right into the swing of things – rummaging through the bags to find gifts!

What do you mean these aren’t for me?

He was a good sport about getting his mitts out of those bags. I’m sure somehow he knew he would have tons of gifts to rip open later.

So he went right on playing and smiling, even though he had a little cold and an ear infection. Didn’t stop him one bit. He sure doesn’t look sick to me!

December 11, 2008
I practically cannot stand the insane cuteness of this child. I often wonder how anyone could possibly BE this adorable. How is it even possible? This photo perfectly depicts his personality – always smiling. And not just any type of smiling…smiling so hard it almost hurts! He can’t smile big enough. We should all strive for that as often as possible in life. To smile so big it hurts.

November 27, 2008
For Turkey Day this year we had the little guy crawling all over the house. What a joy he is. It was his first Thanksgiving and we are all very thankful to have him around. And…his mommy dressed him in a very adorable outfit.
Of course, he is drawn to the TV, so he crawled himself right over to it. “Hmmm…look at all those controls”.
He’s getting very strong, so when he crawls over to the couch, he reaches up and pulls himself into a standing position. He balances himself there and then once he realizes he is stable, he becomes a bit more comfortable and gets very excited with himself.
He’s thinking “look at me standing, with only one hand…uh huh”.
The other stage he is in now is the ’shoving everything in his mouth stage’. It’s quite funny to watch, particularly when he tries to put a large item in his mouth. I’m sure he’s convinced it will fit.
“Are you doubting me, Aunt Susan?”
“Listen, it’s going to fit in my mouth, you just wait and see.”
“Hmmmm…this does appear to be a bit larger than I thought.”

“Ugh, maybe she’s right.”
It’s fun to watch all this. Fun to watch him discover things and learn. So far, he’s proving to be a genious. And I’m not saying that just because I’m his aunt, of course.
November 15, 2008
Many times when I’m taking pictures of the baby he looks directly at me, right into the lens. Totally connecting. I think he actually likes the camera! This, however, was not one of those times. It almost looks as if he’s looking right at me, but he’s not. What he’s actually looking at, and apparently sizing up how he’s going to get to it while pensively chomping on those two fingers, is the remote. Yup, the remote control. You can see it there at the bottom of the picture. Boys sure will be boys…
Notice here he is making his way closer to that remote, however, in this shot he is looking right at me. Love that. He apparently realizes Aunt Susan is aware of his hot pursuit towards the remote, but graciously looks up at me with those captivating eyes so I can get this adorable shot. What a cute face!
When he’s not focused on the remote control, he’s busy playing, and laughing. His favorite things. Here he is playing with his nonna (grandma)…

And here he is playing with his daddy, having a ball.
November 8, 2008
He’s on the move! He started crawling this week and he’s getting better at it each day. He is mid crawl here, coming at me.
He crawls and then he does this little thing…he sort of flips himself over. Here he is getting started on the flip. He’s shifting his weight to one side of his body. See that tiny hiney of his off to the side?
His aim is to land himself back on his butt. And he did it. I bet he’s thinking “catch that smooth move, Aunt Susan?”
That was his routine. Crawl a bit. Shift his weight. Turn himself around. Crawl a bit. Shift his weight. Turn himself around. And then he’s facing a completely different way, wondering where I’ve gone, until he looks back over his shoulder. He ends up covering some ground, he’s in all different corners of the blanket.
Let me tell you, this new development of his excites him. Alot. Doesn’t he look so proud? And maybe somewhat winded from all that flipping.
October 27, 2008
My mom and I spent a few hours in a park because the weather was so spectacular. This park had a little zoo. And the zoo had this face. I wouldn’t want to mess with this guy. He looks like he means business. Yikes.
October 24, 2008
I love taking pictures. The only slight downfall to always being the one behind the lens is that I’m very rarely in front of the lens! Which means I have very few pictures of myself with my cutie nephew. However, a few weeks ago at a family party my cousin Claire was quick on her feet with her own camera and took these pictures of me with my nephew while he was doing my favorite thing that he does. Kissing and hugging me. Or should I call this inhaling?
And squishing?
Well, who cares what you’d call it, I loved it. Thank you Claire!!
October 19, 2008
It got colder quite fast here in NYC. Last weekend it was almost 80 degrees and today it is 54 degrees. Yikes! Last night the heat came on in my building for the first time this season. My cat Billy is trying to adjust to the rapid temperature change the only way he knows how – by searching out the sun and sitting in it’s direct rays for warmth.
What a face!
October 5, 2008
I was lucky enough to see this little cutie twice this weekend as we had a few family functions to attend. So, I got to see him in two very adorable outfits. The first one was a little plaid number, that actually had a tiny golf hat that went with it, but I was not able to get a photo with the hat on, unfortunately.
Second outfit was off-the-charts adorable. He looked like a little man. Argyle vest, cords and tiny moccassins! Here is his with his nonna. Sorry for the slightly blurry picture, but this guy is constantly moving…
He took a break from all the festivities to catch up on some reading. Hard to believe yesterday was his 6 month birthday, he looks very comfortable holding that book!
September 27, 2008
He’s eating food! Gosh, he’s practically an adult already. He’s started on cereal and has already been introduced to apples and bananas. He did such a great job eating off the spoon.
He didn’t even get too messy. And he seemed to like having an audience.
He still laughs alot, I made him crack up by simply fanning him with a magazine – he was going nuts laughing really hard. I guess the breeze it generated on his face was hilarious to him. He has the best disposition. Here his daddy was making him smile. I know I’m his aunt and all, but really, he’s too cute for words!
September 13, 2008
I spent the day with my nephew this past weekend and I cannot believe how big he is getting! He’s now just over 5 months old. He’s getting longer and so much more pudgey!! Not only is he getting bigger, but he’s getting stronger and much more active. He has outgrown his little orbit swing and has advanced into this bouncy seat that is fastened onto bungie cords (literally). He absolutely loves it. His feet touch the ground and he jumps and jumps, most of the time either laughing or startling himself. It’s adorable. Here he is in his bouncy seat. I somehow managed to capture him during the one nano second that he was not bouncing wildly…
He cracks up laughing alot more now. He laughs hysterical when my brother bites his side or near his little arm pit (clearly he’s not really biting him). I even got him to crack up alot this past weekend – completely made my day. Here he is laughing it up.
Here’s a great example of his getting a little pudgey, his legs. See that little roll starting? He looked so cute in his tiny demin cargo shorts.
He has another seat that he sits and plays in. It’s blue and has a ton of different toys all around that he can interact with. And the seat he sits in actually rotates around, so he goes from playing with one toy to the next in a circle. He’s sitting in the seat in the above picture (and below). Here he is very focused on one of the little toys.
He’s making his way around to get a hold of these adorable toys…
But he got tired and took a break, resting his head on this little flower…
Another positive aspect of these interactive toy seats – they give the parents a break. To enjoy a lollipop.
August 18, 2008
This past Sunday was his daddy’s 30th birthday party. My brother had a bunch of his friends over and for the special occassion his mommy dressed him up in a very cute outfit that has a matching hat. This photo just about sums up the stage he is in now. That would be the ‘how many fingers can I jam into my mouth’ stage.
He looks very good in green. Heck, he looks good in every color.
Ok, taking a break from babyland for a minute, here is my other adorable obsession. My little guy Billy. He’s 12.5 years old. He is such a cutie!
Not only is he really cute to look at, he is a complete mush. So loveable. It just makes him cuter, if that’s possible.
Back to the baby…guess who bought him this adorable little getup? That’s right, Aunt Susan. Just love it, and it fits him like a glove. He was nice enough to model it for the camera.
Would you look at these gums! He really likes this blue chair of his. He watches TV in it, like a true guy. All he needs is a remote in his hand. When I took this picture we were watching Mickey Mouse Club together. He seems to really like that show, it makes him laugh. Oh Tooootles!
July 21, 2008
At our 4th annual family picnic this past weekend, my little nephew went into the pool for the first time in his 3.5 month life! He was so good – no crying – no squealing – no squirming. He was very zen. Here is his pool hat…

Oh, and his new thing this week is he cracks up laughing. Yup. Belly laughs. This might just be the cutest thing. Ever.
As if that isn’t cute enough, he puts his finger in his mouth!
July 13, 2008
He’s getting a little bit bigger now, just about 3.5 months old. His cheeks are filling out wonderfully!
To be honest, when I spend the day with him, I kiss his cheeks about 785 times. No joke. They are addicting.
Since I bought my fancy new camera (Nikon D80) and lens we had a little photo shoot of my nephew. We wanted to get a shot of him in his christening gown, so on the gown went. Poor little guy had to wear a dress twice! He looked like a little prince.
And since we were having a photo shoot, why not put him in another adorable outfit?! So on went the swim gear. His trunks match his hat!
July 3, 2008
Bath Time!!! He seems to like bath time now. Starting to get all sudsy and getting ready to clean that armpit after a tough day of being an adorable baby! It’s hard work…
Afterwards, he gets the full rinse. He is so good this kid, no screaming or crying. He just deals with it. I absolutely love this shot – he’s holding his breath, closing his eyes, waiting for it to all be over.
Here he is in his little orbit swing. That’s not the real name of it, of course, that’s just what I call it. Cause it looks like a little flying saucer. Anyway, it’s a very appealing looking swing, all soft and snuggly. And doesn’t he look so comfy in there? Please note the adorable cheeks.
This might be one of my favorite things he does…the half smile. When he starts to smile and I guess is thinking to himself…is this worth a full smile or not? Most times this does lead into a full-on heart warming smile. But I love this stage. See it? The light in his eyes, the half smirk. What a cutie.
What a smile! This can brighten up anyone’s day.
He is so cute I can hardly stand it. Just look at him!
We have a much loved and very adorable new addition to our family!! My nephew Nicholas was born on April 4, 2008 at 3:44pm. He weighed in a 8 lbs, 7 oz and was 21.5 inches. In this photo he is approximately one hour old. One little hour. And he looks like he owns the place with his little hand on his cheek like that. “Uh huh, that’s right Aunt Susan, here I am”. I mean, he’s looking right at me! So alert.
He’s resting comfortably here. I had no idea (mainly because he’s the first child in our family) that this is pretty much what he would be doing for the first 3 weeks of his life. Sleep.
When he wasn’t actually sleeping, he was yawning. Wanting to get back to sleep.
The happy family. Mom, dad and new baby. He’s quite alert here for being just one day old, looking at his parents.
What a proud grandma! Oh, how she’s been waiting for this day. Thank God my brother (the baby) stepped up and had a child.
This is one of my favorite pictures!! Me and my brother kissing his little cheeks. He’s wrapped up real tight, and it’s as if he’s saying ‘ok, kiss me all you want, go ahead’. Love it.
Looks like two very proud aunts…

He is sooo beautiful. I can’t believe how much he looks like your brother. Mini me!
my favorite picture on this page is the water over his head during bath time!!! Ahhhh what a munchkin.
I agree with Claire….The water over the head shot is so adorable. He really is holding his little breath. I want to meet him next time your in N.J..
Daddy’s look alike. It’s amazing to me.
What a precious little boy!!! Its like seeing Robbie all over again. He is adorable, enjoy him. You re a great aunt!
Oh my goodness! I need to see this baby again asap! i love the one where he is laughing in what looks like rob’s hairy legs haha..and the way he is concentrating on that butterfly. I absolutely love that he laughs so much now
He is really cute, and I can just imagine how you and your entire family are getting crazy about him….hopefully I’ll be able to meet him during my next visit to US at the end of october. I told your mom already that I’ll be there the 25th and I will leave the 31st and that I should have a day off on the 26th that is a sunday.
Hoping to see you there keep enjoying your nephew every time you can; they grow up so fast…it’s unbelievable.

These pictures are amazing Sue! I can’t believe the big guy was allowed to eat that huge slice of cake – the icing all over his face is priceless. I’m loving his new hairdo’s too – i can’t believe how big he’s grown since the last time I saw him. Can’t wait for Mother’s Day so I can hug our little cousin.
I’m waiting for the 4th of july pics!!!
